Job Summary:
Startup Steroid is in search of a highly skilled Automation Tester with expertise in either Microsoft Playwright or Selenium to join our passionate team. As an Automation Tester, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of Startup Steroid through the development and execution of automated test scripts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans.
- Develop and maintain robust automated test scripts using either Microsoft Playwright or Selenium, focusing on web application testing.
- Execute automated test cases to identify software defects, track issues, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers to understand new features, changes, and updates, ensuring thorough test coverage.
- Contribute to the integration of automated testing within the overall testing framework.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on test results, ensuring the application meets high-quality standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Automation Tester, specifically focused on web applications in an Agile environment.
- Proficiency in either Microsoft Playwright or Selenium for test automation.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiar with programming in languages such as Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the financial industry or with investment management platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
